About

My Work

I started Cotter Collective LLC after more than two decades in hospitality and event management, where I held roles including Senior Event Planner, Director of Catering and Conference Services, Director of Sales, and Operations Manager. Throughout my career, I’ve led everything from corporate conferences and incentive programs to large-scale social events, rodeos, weddings, and grand openings, always grounded in thoughtful planning, clear communication, and a commitment to getting the details right.

As my career evolved, so did my vision for how I could best support my clients. After my time as a Director of Catering and Conference Services, I earned my field underwriter license, expanding my ability to serve clients more comprehensively. Today, as a nationally licensed field underwriter, I support entrepreneurs and small business owners with health and life insurance, as well as retirement solutions, helping protect not just what they do, but what they’re building.

Through Cotter Collective, I bring together this unique combination of experience to offer virtual assistant and event planning services alongside insurance and financial support. My goal is simple: to create a seamless, reliable partnership where my clients feel supported across all aspects of their business and their lives.

At my core, I’m a helper. That has always been my “why.” Whether I’m managing logistics, organizing operations, planning an event, or guiding a client through important financial decisions, I’m driven by the same instinct to step in, bring clarity, and make things easier. I believe that details meet dedication and that true partnership means being there for whatever my clients need, not just one piece of the puzzle.

Beyond the Work

My path led me to a life I wholeheartedly love. I live with my husband JJ, our two amazing children Jaxson and Tenley, and our three dogs, Karma, Booker, and Pringle, in Queen Creek, Arizona. I moved to Arizona to attend graduate school at Arizona State University and never looked back, although I’ll admit that after 26 years, I still don’t fully consider myself an “Arizonian.”

My career plans have changed over the years, from being a teacher of dance and performing, to working hospitality in hotels and at a western catering venue, and developing a path into the world of event planning.

I’m someone who doesn’t shy away from making eye contact or speaking to complete strangers. A simple smile can truly brighten someone’s day, and it costs nothing to give.

That same mindset shows up in how I work. Whether it’s lending a hand in everyday moments, caring for my family, or stepping in to help a client with a last-minute need, I’m always guided by the same principle: show up, be present, and help wherever you can.
